Pattana Promphat inaugurated a new Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Center in Chachoengsao, expanding regional healthcare access while supporting plans to develop the province into a “Herbal City” and wellness tourism hub.
The facility, built on land donated by a local temple, will serve eight provinces, namely Chachoengsao, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Samut Prakan, Chanthaburi, Chonburi, Trat, and Rayong.
Completed in late 2025, the center offers diagnosis, treatment, and dispensing of herbal medicine, alongside specialized clinics in longevity care, symptom-based treatment, medical cannabis, traditional addiction treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine.
During the opening, the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine signed an agreement with Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University to advance Chachoengsao as a “Herbal City” and “Wellness City.” The initiative aims to develop local herbal resources, boost research and product development, and grow wellness tourism tied to traditional medicine and community enterprises.
