Experienced TCM expert stresses deep learning of TCM medicines

In a clinic of the traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Hongya County, 80-year-old Zhu Zhiyou remains dedicated to clinical practice. As an experienced expert in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), he has, in over five decades of medical practice, collected and produced more than 10,000 TCM specimens and trained over 100 TCM practitioners.

In his opinion, to learn TCM, one must understand Chinese herbal medicines, and the most direct way of learning is to collect and make specimens of these medicines.
