Additionally, the testing centre for Chinese medicines to be managed by the Department of Health (DH) began phased operations today in its permanent new building. The new facility incorporates advanced technology and equipment to enhance Chinese medicine testing methods and the development of herbal medicine standards, contributing to the high-quality development of Chinese medicine in Hong Kong. The newly opened Chinese Medicines Herbarium will showcase approximately 3,500 specimens, including valuable specimens donated by the national government to Hong Kong. Alongside the building, the outdoor medicinal plant garden "Shennong Herbal Garden" will also be open for free group visits starting today.
